SCHOOLS RESUMPTION UPDATE: FG finally concludes on a resumption date for students.
The federal government has finally concluded on a date for resumption of secondary schools.Secondary school exiting students are set to return to schools on the 3rd of August to begin preparation for their upcoming external examinations which has been scheduled for the 17th of August 2020.All the West Africa states have agreed to the date of commencement of examination giving Nigerian students only two weeks to prepare for the upcoming exams.Nigeria will proceed to domesticate their time table says the chiarman.
The ministry says that the conclusion was reached after a virtual hours long meeting with all the commissioners,Governors and all other stakeholders in the sector.what the agreement entails is that WAEC candidates alone are to return to school.
“The exams that are peculiar to Nigeria will commence from the 5th of September through to the 14th of September.This has today been accepted by every state in Nigeria and endorsed by the P.T.F at our meeting”says the chairman.
This was obtained by the director of press and public relations Ben Bem Goong on monday.All schools must adhere to the protocols given by the federal government prior to the resumption as this is still a post Covid-19 decision.
Tetiary institutions resumption dates are still yet to be published.
